Playing the Mega Millions safely online is possible, so you do not have to be a US resident to take part in this lottery. Draws are made twice weekly, on a Tuesday and a Friday at 11pm, with a playing format that is straightforward: you simply pick five ordinary numbers (from 1 to 70), and one Mega Ball number (from 1 to 25) for your ticket. To win the jackpot you would need to match all six numbers to those that are drawn. If you are stuck for numbers you can select the Easy Pick option which will assign random numbers to your ticket.

The Megaplier

For a further challenge, you can add a Megaplier to your lottery ticket when you buy it. This gives you the chance to multiply any winnings by 2, 3, 4 or 5, excluding the jackpot. All you have to do is watch for which Megaplier ball is selected on draw nights right before the main draw takes place.
